Nostalgia's role in today's society

In the "good old days," people were friendlier and more respectful, cities safer and cleaner, the weather nicer, the grass greener and the music better. Truth or just an idealization of the past? In this presentation, I will consider the role nostalgia plays in how many people evaluate today’s society in a historical context and how these evaluations influence our everyday lives. In so doing, we will consider together whether the good old days were really better ones.
